Beanstalk HQ Policies and Guidelines

Welcome to Beanstalk HQ! We’re thrilled to have you as part of our family-friendly coworking, social space and playcafe, where we strive to support parents and caregivers in a warm, safe environment. Designed to be flexible and inclusive, Beanstalk HQ offers supervised play for children, spaces to work or relax, and event hosting for memorable gatherings. Please keep in mind that while we offer supervised play, Beanstalk HQ is not a daycare; we focus on providing spaces where parents can stay nearby.

Parental Presence: Parents or guardians are required to remain on the premises at all times while their children are present in the facility.

  • Core Hours (Supervised Play): During core hours, your little ones (2 years and older) can explore and grow under the gentle guidance of our experienced team. These hours are designed for parents who need safe play environment for their children while they focus on work, socializing or personal matters.

  • Non-Core Hours (Unsupervised Play): Outside of our core hours, we offer a self-serve environment where parents are responsible for supervising their children. It's ideal for families who love to play together or connect with other families in our community.

    M-F : 9 AM - 4 PM

    Non-Core hours*

Health, Safety & Security

    • Illness Policy: To help everyone stay healthy, children who have had a fever, vomiting, or any contagious symptoms in the last 24 hours should remain at home. If a child exhibits signs of illness, they will be kindly asked to leave to help protect the health and well-being of others.

    • In the event that a child exhibits signs of illness while at Beanstalk HQ, we will kindly inform the parent or guardian and ask that they leave the premises to ensure the safety and well-being of all our guests. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy environment for everyone.

    • Hand Hygiene: We require hand sanitizing before entering the play area and encourage handwashing after eating or using the restroom.ption text goes here

    • ID Verification: A secure check-in system with photo ID is required for all adults.

    • Grippy socks: For safety and to ensure the best experience in our playspace, all children are required to wear grippy socks while playing. Grippy socks can either be brought from home or purchased as an add-on at checkout.

    • For the safety and security of all children, a matching wristband with a unique number will be assigned to both parents/guardians and children during check-in. At pick-up, we will ensure that the wristbands match before any child is released. This system helps ensure a smooth and secure experience for everyone.

    • To ensure smooth transitions between shifts and allow ample time for everyone, parents will be notified 15 minutes prior to the shift end. This will give you time to get ready to pick up your child and speak with our staff about your child’s day. We're here to provide any updates or answer questions to make your experience as smooth as possible.

    • We understand that as parents, you want to stay connected with your child. To provide peace of mind, we offer a live feed video from the supervised playspace, so you can keep an eye on your little one while enjoying the café or co-working space nearby. Your child's safety is our priority, and we aim to create an environment where you feel secure and comfortable.

    • We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or aggressive behavior to ensure a friendly environment.

    • Our team uses positive reinforcement to foster good behavior and will keep parents informed of any issues

    • At Beanstalk HQ, we work together to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all. If any behavioral concerns arise, parents will be promptly informed and kindly asked to help resolve the situation. Our goal is to maintain a welcoming space where all families can thrive.

    • To maintain a positive environment for all, if a child is experiencing adjustment issues, such as loud screaming or disruptive behavior, parents may be asked to leave if the disruption persists for more than 10 minutes. This policy ensures a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone at our work and play café.

    • We respect your family’s privacy and adhere to all required privacy standards.

    • To protect the privacy of all children and families, we ask that you refrain from photographing children other than your own unless you have prior consent from their parent or guardian.
